Mike retired from the Atchison Post Office on April 30, 1998. He brings to the business a background in managing employees and customer service and use of computers in business.

Mike started as manager of Reynolds' Computers for Roger Reynolds on May 1, 1998. On June 1, 1998 he purchased the inventory and business and started to rent the computer shop in the front of the drug store.

Mike started Computer Repair class at Northeast Kansas Technical School (now Northeast Kansas Technical College) and graduated in 1999. He is an A+Certified Computer Technician.

During his training he met Steve Adams, who was in the repair class finishing his two years of training. Steve started part time while in school and continues with Schaeffers as the Senior Technician.

The business moved to 502 Kansas Ave, a larger location after five years at Reynolds' Drug Store. At that time the name was changed to Schaeffer Computers. After three years another move was made to the location in the garage/shop at 301 Morningside Rd. A final move was made to the current location at 301 Commercial in the summer 2009. Service to customers has always been our best product and is still our top priority.

Steve started to work part time for Reynolds' Computers while attending his second year at Northeast Kansas Technical School (now Northeast Kansas Technical College). Steve graduated after completing a 1 year program in Computer Networking and 1 year in Computer Repair in 1999 and is an A+Certified Technician.

He has a background in construction and heavy equipment. Shortly after the business moved to 502 Kansas Ave, Steve's National Guard Unit was activated and he was sent to Iraq to serve and defend our country. He returned safely after about 15 months and continues to work at Schaeffer Computers.

Steve is well versed in the working of all makes and models of computers and is a big asset to the business. He enjoys a challenge and that is what he has daily. Steve can resolve problems that others will not even attempt. Schaeffer Computers excellent service reputation is due to the caring efforts of Steve.

Earl is an A+Certified Technician and graduated from Northeast Kansas Technical School (now Northeast Kansas Technical College). Earl completed 1 year of Computer Networking and 1 year of Computer Repair.

He first started working part time at Reynolds' Computers and has remained with the company through all the moves. He had held various positions before attending NEKTS. He was employed by Rockwell International for 10 years. He then worked as CNA, CMA and CR at Medical Lodge, for 15 years.

Now instead of fixing people he fixes computers. Earl is a loyal and trusted employee and continues to learn daily as technology chances. Service to customers is also his top priority.
